WHAT IS DOLL FARM?
Doll Farm is currently a way for me to share my art, something that is a part of me and has aided in my mental and emotional growth for years, but most importantly, its a way to fund something much more.
WHAT IS THE BIGGER PICTURE?
Within the next year, Doll Farm will start to sell micro greens, herbs, and edible flowers to local markets and restaurants. From there, the crops and art Doll Farm produce will fund a micro farm, and eventually a farm to table café. It will be a safe space for all humans, and a space to grow and learn with the crops, art, and human connections we craft.
WHY THE NAME DOLL FARM?
Doll Farm is inspired by the bond shared by those in the service industry, specifically, a bond created from a silly tradition held every Saturday at a previous restaurant I worked at. Doll Arm was a plastic arm that was the face of "Doll Arm Saturday", and "she" provided many laughs in an environment that was far from supportive or positive, and provided no room for growth other than through trauma. My goal is to create a place no one should ever feel they have to mentally escape from, rather have it be "Doll Arm Saturday" every day in our playful way of enjoying life and what we create.
